The unstoppable will to experience new musical sensations gets 3 guys from the Abruzzo (Italy) coast to get together and play in early january 2011. 7C is a trio: double-bass, drums and and the solo section, composed by analog noises produced by several electrical and mechanical equipments. The trio, by means of their musical research, wants to state that noise has the same dignity as sound and as such must be treated. the rythmic section grew up by listening to the experimentations of ornette coleman and john coltrane, and is particularly influenced by the modern new york downtown scene lead by john zorn. a particular rythmic shape comes out of this, ranging through different musical genres and with totally free fragments, thus supporting the analog noises and the resonances made by soloist claudio carozza, influenced by several artist among which Otomo Yoshihide. within 7C's songs is of the utmost importance the rythmical freedom of the double-bass and the heavy drumming which underlines the resonances produced by rudimentary instruments such as electric fans, radios, remote controls, electric cables, magnets etc. played by carozza. all of the above makes the sound odd and vivacious.
